Consent, Terms & Privacy
Consent Statement
- I agree to the event terms and acknowledge that my team information and idea submission may be used for evaluation, communication, and event operations by the organizers and jury.
- I confirm that the information provided in this form is accurate and that my team has the right to submit the idea described.
- I acknowledge that all data submitted or generated during the event may be stored and processed on infrastructure provided through Maha IT.
- I understand that only synthetic or non‑PII data is permitted for use during the hackathon.
- I acknowledge that prototypes, logs, and submissions will be retained for up to 30 days post‑event for evaluation, audit, and handover purposes, after which all data will be deleted.
- I agree that my team retains full ownership of the solution IP we create, and winning teams will receive the prototype outputs or source code as applicable.
- I acknowledge that Grant Thornton Bharat and IFIF may retain anonymised system metrics for operational analysis after data deletion.
Event Terms
- Participation is open to all corporate participants.
- Multiple teams may register from the same organization.
- Teams must submit an original idea aligned to one of the five Financial Services themes shared as part of the Hackathon concept.
- Ideas must include a problem statement, target user/process, and a high-level AI solution concept.
- Only synthetic or non‑sensitive data may be used during prototype creation. Uploading personal, confidential, or regulated data is prohibited.
- Shortlisted teams must participate in the rapid build sprint and submit a working prototype within the defined timeframe.
- Solutions will be executed exclusively within the dGTL Forge environment hosted on infrastructure provided by Maha IT.
- All participants must adhere to fair play, responsible AI use principles and event instructions.
- Winning teams may receive prototype exports or source code where applicable.
- Teams retain full ownership of ideas and prototypes created during the event; organisers will not claim ownership over submitted or generated content.
Privacy Policy (Event Use Only)
This Privacy Policy describes how participant data, idea submissions, and prototype‑related information will be collected, used, stored, accessed, and deleted for the purpose of operating the IFIF x Grant Thornton Corporate AI Hackathon.
- Purpose of Data Use
Information submitted as part of registration, idea submission, and prototype development will be used solely for:
• event registration and communication
• idea review, scoring, and shortlisting
• scheduling, mentoring, and coordination
• leaderboards and charts
• prototype evaluation by authorized mentors, organisers, and jury
• award processing and post‑event communication where relevant
- Data Storage & Processing Location
All participant data, idea submissions, prototype artifacts, system logs, and related materials will be stored and processed on infrastructure provided through Maha IT. No data will be transferred outside this environment for any reason.
- Data Types Collected
The event may collect:
• basic contact information (name, email, organisation)
• team details and idea submissions
• prototype artifacts generated during the dGTL Forge sprint
• usage logs, system performance data, and error diagnostics
• voluntary additional information provided by participants in support of their idea or prototype
- Restrictions on Data Provided by Participants
Participants may only upload or use synthetic or non‑PII data during the hackathon.
Uploading personal data, client data, confidential organisational information, or any regulated data is strictly prohibited. This requirement applies to both idea submissions and prototype development.
- Access to Data
Access to participant data is limited to:
• authorised event organisers from GT and IFIF
• platform administrators supporting dGTL Forge operations
• jury members evaluating submissions
• mentors assisting teams during the sprint
Each group receives read‑only, purpose‑bound access restricted to the event timeline.
- Cross‑Team Data Isolation
Each team’s submissions, prototype outputs, and logs will be isolated from other teams. No participant will be able to view or access any other team’s data or prototype at any stage. However, scores can be shared with other teams and with general public as part of leaderboards and charts.
- Data Retention & Deletion
All participant data, prototype artifacts, evaluation materials, and logs will be retained for a maximum of 30 days after the conclusion of the hackathon.
After this period, all such data will be permanently deleted from the Maha IT environment.
Organisers may retain anonymised, non‑personal system metrics solely for operational analysis.
- Idea/IP Use Beyond the Event
Idea submissions and prototypes will not be reused in any client proposal, presentation, or commercial engagement without explicit written consent from the respective team.
If an idea or prototype is considered for incubation or a potential client pilot, the team will be contacted for permission and next steps. Teams may choose not to participate in any incubation or pilot discussions without affecting their standing in the event.
- Communications
Contact information may be used to:
• notify participants of shortlisting, logistics, or schedule updates
• share event instructions
• communicate awards or post‑event opportunities
No participant information will be sold or used for unrelated marketing.
- Compliance
All handling of participant data will comply with applicable Indian data protection norms and government cloud usage guidelines.
